Heavenly Father,
 
You go by many names, but in our hearts your name is Love. We entreat you to guide all of our departed children to your loving light. We beg you to watch over them because we no longer can. We hope and pray above all else that they are safe in your care because we as simple humans can no longer care for them here. Grant that we be made worthy to join them in paradise when our journey on this Earthly plane is complete.
 
Open our hearts and minds to the signs they send that reassure us they are alive in spirit and are happy in your heavenly realm beyond our reach.
 
We pray for those who cause us pain through their lack of understanding of the depth of our sorrow and grief. Give them patience with us as we ask for patience with them.
 
Many of us question your purpose and love. Give us the reassurance we need to carry on, knowing that our children are not lost to us but only temporarily separated from us.

We ask these things by the power of your forgiving grace and in the names of our departed children.
